Program IV: The Lecture Series

Objective

The Lecture Series Program enables graduates of the What To Do About Your Brain-Injured Child Course who are not enrolled in the Intensive Treatment Program to attend ongoing lectures in child brain development in order to apply this knowledge to their children at home.

Eligibility

To be eligible to enroll, a parent must have attended the What To Do About Your Brain-Injured Child Course. If both parents are eligible and wish to attend together, then one parent pays tuition and the other parent is awarded a full scholarship.

Content

This six-part program consists of more than eighty hours of lectures, which include demonstrations by the staff, parents, and children enrolled in our Intensive Treatment Program. In addition, there is a comprehensive review of the results of treatment of the children in the Intensive Treatment Program.

Each two-day lecture series contains lectures on mobility growth, intellectual growth, and physiological growth. As the lecture series advances, social growth is included.

Parents may enroll in one lecture series, two lecture series, or all, but the series must be attended in the correct sequence.

Aspirant parents who have attended one or all of these lectures, and who are waiting for an appointment, will be eligible for more advanced home programs than would otherwise have been available to them.

Parents who attend the lecture series will have a deeper and stronger understanding of the principles of child brain development and will be able to create more successful home programs for their children.

Parents not already enrolled in the Aspirant Program have found the results they have achieved as a result of the Lecture Series Program so encouraging that they have sought admission to a higher and more successful program level, The Aspirant Program (Program Five).

Please see the Lecture Series Schedule for lecture titles and the current schedule.

Lecture Series

The Lecture Series Program enables graduates of the What To Do About Your Brain-Injured Child Course who are not enrolled in the Intensive Treatment Program to attend ongoing lectures in child brain development in order to apply this knowledge to their children at home.

The series contains lectures on mobility development, intellectual development, physiological development, and social development. This program was developed over the last three decades for parents on the Intensive Treatment Program and is still a vital part of that program.

Any parent who has completed the What To Do About Your Brain-Injured Child Course is eligible to enroll in the Lecture Series Program. If only one parent is certified, only this parent is eligible to attend the Lecture Series Program.

Since each lecture series is a stepping stone for the next lecture series, they must be attended in sequence.

To enroll for the Lecture Series Program, please contact Harriet Pinsker at: (215) 233-2050 ext. 2868.
