Internships

We now have openings for interns who are bilingual in English / Spanish or English / Italian. Our interns work full-time assisting the clinical staff in a full range of duties: compiling results, observing and caring for our brain-injured children, attending lectures, and administrative duties. The hours equal those of the staff-roughly 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and occasionally Saturdays.

Interns receive no salary but are provided full room and board by The Institutes.

Those who wish to apply for an intern position should first read:

What To Do About Your Brain-Injured Child

How To Teach Your Baby To Read

How To Teach Your Baby To Be Physically Superb.

All of these books are by Glenn Doman, the Founder of The Institutes. These books can be found in libraries or in the bookstore section of our website.
Of course, visiting The Institutes for such a brief intern period does not qualify one to use our methods with either hurt or well children. To pursue our methods requires training and the appropriate certification by The Institutes. Unfortunately, over the last 40 years there has been much misapplication of our methods by people without any certification. For this reason we are very careful to let interns know that brief visits do not qualify them to use any aspect of our work. Applicants for internships will be asked to confirm in writing their agreement to this, which is necessary to maintain the quality of our methods.

Those who have read the books mentioned above and are interested in becoming an intern, should write or telephone the office of Douglas Doman, Vice Director of The Institutes.
